Sometimes, rather than canvas and paint, other ways to express thoughts and emotions need to be explored. Both meditative and reflective, always in response to the human condition.
This heart series was born of a desire to express the emotions contained within
the heart. Made of thousands of hearts punched from recycled shopping bags. Glued, strung, folded, scrunched organized into stories meant to convey emotion, meaning and hope for all who struggle.

Collage, incorporates hearts and newspaper article on the surge of deaths among young people taking tainted heroin. The pain drugs cause, the hope that help, support and resources will be found to stop this tragedy.
